New Currency
The U.S. Bureau of Engraving has released the new $5 note. This new tender has numerous new security features including a watermark, security thread, micro-printing, and the addition of Federal Reserve identification in addition to revised serial numbers. Other major changes include the addition of color, enhancement of President Lincoln's image, and a large purple "5" on the back.

FireKing Security Group is actively implementing support for this new note in our production of NKL and McGunn validating safes. Upgrades for existing NKL and McGunn safes will be performed automatically during scheduled maintenance if you are signed up for one of our service maintenance agreements. Current safe owners may request a service call for the upgrade by calling 1.800.452.4655 or simply fill out the online validator update request form and our Technical Support team will contact you to arrange your upgrade. All validator updates for currency changes are subject to service charges except where included in a regularly scheduled maintenance plan visit.
