FireKing Security Group Acquires McGunn Safe

New Albany, IN - FireKing Security Group, one of the premier security and loss prevention companies in the nation, today announced the acquisition of the McGunn Safe Company. The synergy between FireKing Security Group and McGunn Safe Company will increase the ability of both companies to service the retail and restaurant markets for safes and cash handling equipment.

According to Alan Hepker, President of McGunn Safe Company, "McGunn Safe’s manufacturing capabilities, distribution channels, and marketing efforts will be greatly enhanced by this deal." Mr. Hepker continued: "we will also advance our innovative product technology development, and our customers gain access to a much larger range of high quality safe and cash handling products at very competitive prices."

"McGunn Safe is a respected, well-known brand, with over 60 years in the market," commented Van Carlisle, CEO of FireKing Security Group. "This acquisition serves to expand FireKing’s positions in our existing markets, as well as open up some new ones."

McGunn will operate as a separate division of FireKing Security Group and existing distribution channels will be maintained. Manufacturing of McGunn Safes will be re-located from Des Plaines, Illinois to FireKing Security Group’s New Albany, Indiana facility in the first quarter of 2005.
